EVƎR Monaco : bamboo for more autonomy
Last april in Monaco the “EVƎR Monaco” trade show took place, this event focusses on electrical vehicles and renewable energies.
This fair gathered major actors from all sectors to participate in specialised and scientific conferences, exhibitions, electrical vehicle tests as well as the following two challenges :
• The « Riviera Electric Challenge » : an eco-race, 86km long, with a wide variety of landscapes.
• The « METHA Europe 2017 challenge » : organised by the French “écoles de l’Institut Mines Télécom (IMT)” and their partners, to promote innovations for the “sustainable city”. For the scheme “Energy control in transport and houses”, three categories were competing: “pre-creation”; “urban development” and “material development”.
The jury composed of experts and industrial companies awarded three winners, Walyzeo (plant biofilters for indoor air purification), Uneole (the urbain, connected and eco-designed wind turbine) and Cobratex (bamboo reinforcements for composite materials).
We were very moved by the ceremony as prizes were handed by his highness Prince Albert II of Monaco himself. This award is another proof of the interest in our products for the automotive sector and tomorrow’s vehicles. Not only we received a remarkable prize, but together with Uneole we may have a business opportunity to develop the first biobased wind turbine with our bamboo reinforcements. The Prince of Monaco, himself, submitted the idea when giving out the awards… Would he be the first client for this product ? 😉
